The Forgotten Moth

The kids found a caterpillar so naturally it went into a canning jar. We forgot about the caterpillar because he rolled under the couch and when he was found, he had turned into a chrysalis. We then placed the jar on the buffet so that we could watch him emerge, but we thought he might be dead. I had every intention of throwing him out, but when we looked at him again he had turned into a wonderful moth! Maeve let him loose in a big patch of weeds so that he could have a place to hide.
